For all the iPad productivity junkies out there, the newest Penultimate update should surely get your attention. They didn’t change too much about how the app works, which is very common when larger companies acquire small apps like this. But it does host a new color scheme that’s pretty easy on the eyes. Also, Penultimate is now available as a FREE download from the iOS App Store. I think I remember paying about $5 for it about two years ago. Now you can download Penultimate as an experiment! Mine focused on eliminating paper all together while taking notes and jotting down phone messages. It’s worked like a DREAM, and I’ll never have Post-Its on my desk again! Give it a try and you might be surprised at how natural it feels writing on your iPad screen. Styluses are also pretty cheap these days, so finding one for $10 is certainly possible. Although, if you fall in love with digital note-taking, Belkin, Targus, and my personal favorite, Bamboo, make pretty sexy styluses to match almost all writing types. Also, Bamboo’s “Bamboo Stylus duo” can double as an ink pen, for those unavoidable times when you need to sign something, like the check at dinner.
Have fun with this! It might really change the way you do things! It sure did for me!
