I looked down at my iPad at the PERFECT moment and grabbed this screen shot of Kelly Slater’s GoPro footage. I got so excited that I needed to share it with the world.  I think I might have caught the best Kelly Slater durp face EVER.

Last night, awesome-tiny-sports-camera manufacturer GoPro announced a new addition to it’s lineup. The GoPro HERO3 is here! 30% smaller. 25% lighter. 100% more bad ass. The GoPro HERO3 is available in 3 different configurations. White, Silver and Black Editions, starting at $199. The entry level HERO3, the White Edition, sports a 5MP photo capture and tops out at 1080p and 60fps. And that’s the ENTRY LEVEL HERO3… for $199! Of course, they made a top of the line HERO3, the Black Edition, for $399. (also, the most expensive GoPro so far) It’s definitely worth the cash, considering it’s 12MP photo capture and ability to shoot 120fps. They’ve also integrated WiFi into all their new models, and have included the WiFi Remote with the Black Edition package. This enables the user to control their GoPro from a distance, either with the Remote or free mobile application.These are just a few of the new features of the GoPro HERO3.

This is by far the most versatile sports camera on the market, and they’ve just stepped it up a notch! The video above is their new promo for the HERO3, shot entirely on the HERO3. Take a look. The whale part is my favorite!
