Has everyone downloaded the new Foursquare iOS app update yet? They’ve changed the interface (slightly) and it’s pretty impressive. They made some pretty nifty additions to the Explore feature, the map view, and your profile… among other things. Definitely download the update the next chance you get! For all the iPad productivity junkies out there, the newest Penultimate update should surely get your attention. They didn’t change too much about how the app works, which is very common when larger companies acquire small apps like this. But it does host a new color scheme that’s pretty easy on the eyes. Also, Penultimate is now available as a FREE download from the iOS App Store. I think I remember paying about $5 for it about two years ago. Now you can download Penultimate as an experiment! Mine focused on eliminating paper all together while taking notes and jotting down phone messages. It’s worked like a DREAM, and I’ll never have Post-Its on my desk again! Give it a try and you might be surprised at how natural it feels writing on your iPad screen. Styluses are also pretty cheap these days, so finding one for $10 is certainly possible. Although, if you fall in love with digital note-taking, Belkin, Targus, and my personal favorite, Bamboo, make pretty sexy styluses to match almost all writing types. Also, Bamboo’s “Bamboo Stylus duo” can double as an ink pen, for those unavoidable times when you need to sign something, like the check at dinner.
Have fun with this! It might really change the way you do things! It sure did for me!
So Twitter’s made the “Instagram for video”, huh? I might have to agree! I jumped on the recently released “Vine” bandwagon this morning, and only have one thing to say. WOW. This truly is awesome! Twitter just released (for iOS devices only for now) their 6 second video-animated-gif-like app called to the masses, and I immediately downloaded it and made my first video. Some shameless self-promotion, but fun to watch, nonetheless. For all you iPhone and iPod Touch users, head over to the App Store to download Vine for FREE! Do it now, since I predict this bad boy might be carrying a $.99 price tag before long.
Looks like Tumblr’s FINALLY handed over that long-awaited iPad App. I’m pretty impressed so far. They didn’t include many bells or whistles, but I’m okay with that. Functionality is more important. So, all you iPad users head over to the App Store to test it out.
